Now I know what you are thinking, oh boy another rich banker! I wish that was true. No I'm just a lowly peon doing grunt work for Wells Fargo.
They keep us in cubicles where we don't get to see too much light. Its quite dark in here, unfortunately the computers send us into a blank stare as there is always a constant buzz and the screen puts off just enough light to see when you have your bologna sandwich. No cheese today tho, had to cut back.
First couple hours normally are used to search these forums and other forums to entertain me while we don't have any inventory. Usually its same old stuff with whine thread after whine thread. Not today tho as I see there is this little contest going on to tell people about our boring work! We might be able to win 1b isk, hawt diggity damn so this is why I write to you.
Once those first few hours are up and we are put into inventory thats when the **** hits the fan! You start by choosing from the top of the list of "batches". They may range from 1 images to 1500 images. This is where the fun starts, you pick your batch and then you start "splitting" those images up and if they are numbered like 1 of 5, 2 of 5, 3 of 5, you can keep those all together and continue on down. These batches consist of loan documents, tax documents, purchase agreements, closing instructions, etc. Anything to do with people's loans from this bank or other banks that this bank bought from.
After you get done with the splitting its onto the identifying and naming each image. 50122, 1502, 50343, 14376, number after number, thats all I see don't even remember what half of them actually are in word format but I know the number! You keep going till your sweaty and your hands are bloody. Thankfully we don't have to have a coversheet on our TPS reports.
Kind of reminds me of that gif where the stick figure is tapping away on the keyboard then its him pounding on it and finally its him bashing his head over and over onto the keyboard. Yea thats basically my job. The only plus to it all to keep from going insane is I get to listen to music all day and not deal with other people's bullshit.
Today is also a good day they are serving us some kind of Thanksgiving lunch at 11:00 can't wait! We might get two pieces of bologna instead of one and dear god I hope they have that red stuff. What do they call it? Grrr Ketchup, yes ketchup to smear all over my bologna! Maybe I'll see the sunlight while eating, probably not since its been dark and dreary for the past few days. More snow is upon us!
Oh has anyone seen my stapler?! |
